Ryan Garcia Calls for UFC Debut at Sphere

Ryan Garcias Rise and Fall

Ryan Garcia seemingly had the world in the palm of his hand after shocking the world and upsetting the undefeated Devin Haney. Ryan put on a show similar to Ali in the months leading up to the fight, acting insane at times and even missing weight.

Oddsmakers gave Ryan no chance but come fight night Ryan put on an absolute masterclass of a performance. Scoring multiple knockdowns are proving he was an championship level fighter

More drama would ensue post fight with Ryan seemingly popping for PED usage. Ryan would claim it was a tainted supplement but the commission would end up banning Ryan for a year.

The controversy continued as Ryan would release highly controversial tweets that would result in the WBC banning Garcia.

Nonetheless it seemed as if the boxing superstars career was being put on hold. Ryan would later claim that he was retired from boxing and was going to the UFC.

UFC 303 Drama

Meanwhile in the UFC chaos was the story of UFC 303. First McGregor was forced to pull out then Jamal Hill was out forcing the UFC to book both a new Main and Co Main event. Pereria and Prochazka were booked for the main and Brian Ortega and Diego Lopes in the Co Main event.

It seemed all was settled until nearly 4 hours before the combine event. Brian Ortega had become incredible ill and would be unable to fight. Just four hours before his fight Diego Lopes was left without an opponent.

All hope was lost until one man stepped up, Dan Ice had been in a training camp and was currently in Vegas and willing to step up to the plate. In a once in a lifetime event Dan Ige stepped in on 4 hours notice and put on a great fight with a dangerous opponent.

In the post fight press conference Dana said he was willing to repay both fighters with whatever they would like.

The Sphere

Dan Ige would go on to call out Ryan Garcia over social media and challenge him to a fight at the Sphere.

The MMA veteran was willing to give Ryan Garcia certain advantages by laying out a ruleset beneficial to the boxing star. No Takedowns. No Weigh Ins.

Garcia would accept the terms over social media. A win over Ige would make be a huge step towards a super fight between Sean O Mally and Ryan Garcia.
